How to eat chicken noodle soup....
The children, especially Kaylin, wanted Grandma's homemade chicken noodle soup. When Krystin decided she didn't want any (and that's all there was for supper), we made it into a game. She was a bird and was eating worms, or whatever suited the moment. Then Kaylin decided she wanted to do the same. Anyway, we accomplished the task: getting Krystin to eat her bowl of soup.
For dessert, there were fortune cookies. Grandpa read each of theirs to them.
He also read the flip side of the papers, which had a Chinese word on it. Their family is learning Mandarin. They look like they're taking it in, don't they?
I don't know what she's thinking, but it looks like, "Huh, I bet....I bet not." (right, Britt???)
Krystin, the bread lover, is eating a fresh slice of cinnamon raisin bread that Ethan and I made the evening before. Wish I'd gotten a photo of Ethan helping me, but my hands were busy. Yes, Ethan pushed all the buttons, but he also dumped all the ingredients into the bread machine.
And of course.....
Britt had her Chick-Fil-A fix before returning home.
