In the mountains of Idaho (this is out of sequence, but added this photo as an afterthought...love the background)

I found that I'd accidentally omitted this photo of Ethan and Kaylin at swimming lessons. You can understand why I had to add it..... ;o)

The reason for our vacation in Idaho....

Ethan....6

Kaylin...4

Krystin....2

And of course...the whole family, including Mom and Dad
This is up in the mountains

But going back to the beginning......

A very warm and enthusiastic welcome at the airport

Kevin, Dan, Britt playing...Settlers. It was a quick game. Kevin explained that he and Britt just couldn't get anything and that the "robber" kept them from getting any cards. Guess who won.

Ethan is in his element when playing any game of strategy. Very smart boy.

Britt's birthday was coming up in a couple of days, so Gpa, the elementary art teacher, helped them make something for Mom.

Ta-dah!!!!

Gpa tended to have a little person hanging on him quite a lot.

Some needed Mom-and-Ethan time alone.

Dad doesn't come home to a quiet house...but he does come home to a lot of love and laughter.

Ethan helped Grandpa construct Mom's birthday gift: a Snake Toss game. Kaylin helped put on the blue tape for scoring,.

One afternoon we went to the splash pad. Tons of fun!
This was Krystin's favorite spot...she'd go round and round in circles with her cup. Kaylin on the other hand, ran from one spot to the other. It was one big fun adventure.

In the fountain circle

Mom (Britt) and Grandpa (Kevin) took Kaylin to stand under the buckets that tip when filled with water...here they are waiting for the dumping...with Kaylin strongly protesting.

And you can see her strong reaction of displeasure to the whole ordeal. (But she told her mom how brave she was.)

Britt relaxing in the sun, watching her brood running around

Ethan warming up in a dry towel.

On Father's Day we drove up into the mountains and headed for Idaho City (not really a city, more like an old western town)

Three little ones attached themselves to Grandpa

Who gets to hold Grandpa's hands? He's only got two.

Kaylin exploring in the mountains

Thanks so much for posting those pictures Penni! Jesse and I just looked through each one and lots of "ahhs" and laughter could be heard. It looks like you had a fun trip. We miss those guys! Oh, and you too. ;) Also, we think Kevin looks like he loves to be a Grandpa.
