We find that if we wait until we have time for relaxing, it never comes. But we must consciously make time to guiltlessly break away from all that "needs" to be done so that we can just enjoy kicking back. So Kevin loaded up the kayaks Thur after he came home from work and we headed out to Palo Lake. The conditions were perfect...calm water, warm temperature, and great company.
Sometimes we like to just sit on the water and take our surroundings in.
These pretty little white lillies just grow out of the water close to shoreline.

There were hardly any other boats out...nice to have the lake practically to ourselves.
The water was so calm...makes paddling so enjoyable and soothing to the stressed spirit.
We were heading back to shore when Kevin turned around to me and said, "Look behind you." This is the spectacular view I would have otherwise missed.
End of a beautiful evening on the water...Thank you, Kevin. And thank You, Father for giving us so much, and for making us aware that we need to take time to enjoy it because it truly is a gift from You to your children.
