Bathroom remodeling nears completion!

Cutting tiles for tub surround (or is he cutting the marble tiles for the floor here? Either way, it looks the same. Nope, on second thought, he must be cutting the ceramic tiles for the tub surround because he doesn't look frustrated)

It always becomes more complicated than one anticipates....and so it goes.

Ok...I need help editing because I posted the "after" shot before the "before"...forgive me. But here is the "AFTER".....

...and here is the "BEFORE". But this is actually an "after" shot once the little grated drop ceiling was removed.

Again, the "after" shot...this is the marble floor tiling.

And here is the tiler. Kevin made a template and laid it on the garage floor. Then we laid out the marble exactly how we wanted it laid in the bathroom. That was a bit of a challenge.

Papering the ceiling

The prep for the marble tile proved to be disheartening at times, but Kevin persevered and we prayed....

Putting up new drywall all around (including the ceiling)

The new ceiling

Wanted you to see the detail in this great wallpaper...only $10/roll at Menard's...and only took one roll for the whole ceiling. It's such a blessing when your calculated cost on something is the actual cost when done. That doesn't happen very often.

Almost done....still have the mirror, towels racks, cabinet to hang. Also, have to figure out exactly how to remedy a splintered door and it's above 60s framing. We're seeing the end. Kevin has worked long and hard and has persevered through this whole project. I helped with the little things, but he's the construction crew (with some help from his dad).

Penni and Kevin the bathroom looks amazing. I love the ceiling! It looks like that tin stuff that people use to put up. I didn't know it was wallpaper. The colors are so soft. Way to go!!
