Kevin's parents are coming this weekend for a visit, so I was inspired to make homemade cinnamon rolls. My Grandma and Mom taught me how to make rolls when I was 12 (or was I 9? I cannot remember. I just remember it was in our house in the south end of Wellman)

Here they are raising prior to baking. They have to double in size before baking. I use a lot of cinnamon. Did you know that cinnamon is great for cholesterol?

Can you smell them? I consumed more than I should have, but they're the best when they are just out of the oven.

Kari, you wanted to see now my printed and framed photos looked hanging on our walls, so here you go....

Two of the architectural shots from Lyon.

2 more from Lyon...

Penni, as good as your photos may be, the rolls are the true work of art!

Oh Dee, wish you could have been here to share a warm roll and flavored coffee with me. I truly was wanting some family here to share with me. They taste so much better when shared with a loved one.
And thanks for the compliment. This was actually one of my best batches.

Penni do you share the recipe? I made a batch last weekend also for a shower. They sure didn't look like yours! The prints are surely gallary worthy.

Wendi...you're so encouraging. Actually, I vary among 3 different recipes. Of course you may have the recipe. Just give me a call...

Those rolls look great, Mom. And I liked seeing that cookie jar- I remember a certain someone raiding it as a child.

Mom,
Your pictures are works of art. What a great eye you have :)
But in the studio (2 flowers, roots, and Iowa scenes) - if you switched one of the flowers with a B/W on the right, it might be a more balanced display.
But of course - your pics, your walls :)

Trey, glad you enjoyed the "home" moment when seeing the old cookie jar. That was my Gma Wid's.
Brittsy, I'll run your photo arrangement past Kevin. I kind of like the florals together. But, hey...if you want copies for your home, you can arrange them however you'd like :o)
Love, Mom
