Little Miss Muffett...?

these are the curds (minus the whey), or rather...what's left of them after leaving the cheese factory, on our return trip. Mmmmm...warm, salty, soft, squeaky

Heading out to the field with the manure spreader, in Amish country.

An Amish farmer with his team of work horses plowing the field.

The parking lot at the country store. No photography is allowed inside the store, but they have gas lights and it's run by the Amish.

Old fashioned town kept alive
Step back in time at Usher's Ferry.

Walking along the river

Looking for photo ops...always

Looking for rocks...always

A rare find...an octagonal barn...still functioning

Cheese curds! I've only had them once, but think I've found a cheese here with a similar taste. Not squeaky and soft, but still a quick 'close-your-eyes-and-be-in-Iowa' trick!

Ahh - love those good ol' Iowa pics! Thanks......
.... but that bag of cheese curds photo was just MEAN! Could you please inform any of my relatives coming to your house for Roth Christmas that my request is a fresh bag (or 2 if I have to share) of cheese curds? My kids love to visit the factory, but I don't think we'll be sqeezing it in this trip :(
Thanks,
Britt :)
