Mom (Grandma) and Maynard came to visit us today. Since Maynard's birthday is this month, we chose to celebrate at Red Lobster.

Kevin selected the Sailor's Platter (shrimp scampi, cod, garlic mashed potatoes). I had my favorite....the Lobster Pizza (topped with fresh sweet basil, tomato, lobster pieces, then fresh lemon dripped on top of it all. Then the mozzerella cheese. No tomato sauce. Did you get that, Trey and Kari?)

Mom with her plate of shrimp alfredo. (Please notice that her bread plate is empty. She loves the biscuits. How many refills did they bring us of the biscuit baskets, Mom?)

Maynard picked the Tilapia in a Bag. Steamed veggies came with the fish.

Us

Oh, deer me....

The deer trail is between our and the neighbor's yard. Saw these out our front window Thursday afternoon. They're just out for a walk I suppose. Notice the bald spot on the shoulder of the deer on the left.

In our back yard...

Maynard looked out our window into the back yard and was counting all the deer ....we all came running to look. I got a video clip, but sorry...don't know how to post those yet. Think there were 20 deer that came into the yard this side of the tree line. There were 3 bucks (button buck, a 6 point, and an 8 point). Was pretty exciting....very unusual.

Wow! That had to be something to see. An 8-point buck in town? Amazing.

Thanks for posting the pictures with M&M.

Love you,
Dee

Thanks for posting, Mom. It was fun to see/talk with Gma and Maynard yesterday at your place. Looks like you had a good time at Red Lobster. I suppose I would have chosen the same thing as Gma.

I enjoy seeing deer/wildlife again. France is beautiful, but I miss wildlife. There just isn't as much as Iowa. Although, I began hearing birds singing through our windows a couple of weeks ago in the early morning. I just heard another. Today is supposed to be mid to upper 60s, w/ full sunshine.
