This photo op was just too cute to pass up....I looked out our front door a week ago and this is what I saw. This little boy was emulating his father...he wants to be just like his dad. Isn't this what God wants from each of His children? To willingly follow Him with absolute trust? He never forces us to come, but always leads us in the way we should go. The choice is ours.

We love to go to Palisades...whether to hike the trails, hunt for rocks on the beach, skip rocks, or just enjoy God's creation with our eyes.
Cliffs along the opposite bank
The river reflecting the afternoon sun
Kevin hunting rocks on the beach
We skype with Trey and Kari...and now skype has capability to use video. So now anyone we skype with can see us if I have the webcam plugged in, but we can't see "you" unless you also have a webcam. Above is Kevin leaning into the mike so he can be heard.
I went down to see Mom and Maynard last Thursday...a chilly, but beautiful fall day. The farmers were all taking advantage of the great weather to harvest their crops of corn and beans. I took these photos as I was cruising along in my car. For those of you not from the Midwest, above is a partially picked corn field.
Corn wagons
This is Iowa in the fall
This is what we woke up to Thursday morning.
Patrick (A friend of Trey's from college) and his wife, Nichole were in our home briefly last weekend as they were in town for a wedding. It was the first time I'd met Nichole. She is a very sweet girl.
This is Mom with her new spikey "do". She looks really cute.
